Take this quiz!

Ladies, gentlemen and avid readers of all ages, pull up a chair and sit down for a quiz like no other! This afternoon, I created an OKCupid quiz that reveals to what degree your views are similar to my views. In 25 questions, I cover politics, religion and philosophy.

I strongly encourage everybody to take it!

As of this writing, nobody has scored higher than the mid-70s, with many falling below 50%. That, of course, doesn't surprise me; the United States is noticeably lacking in atheist libertarians.

Be sure to post your scores!

By the way, it seems that OKCupid forces you to register after you've answered the questions but before you see your final score. No worries - you can make the information up! They don't even verify the email address.

76% similarity! I assume we differed in areas of public health spending and welfare. :) I am a pretty liberal libertarian. lol In other words, A Liberal With a Gun.

Well, I think we can all agree that Penn and Teller are awesome.

I would just rather Penn Gillette wouldn't name anymore of children. Between Moxie Crimefighter and Zoltan, I think there will be a race between the two of them to the name-changing office when they turn 18.

Francis,
Didn't take the test, it wanted too much info to complete. Take 45minutes and watch this video

I checked in with a healthy 72. The interpretation of this number is as follows:

I am more like Frances than I realized AND
Frances needs a 28% improvement in his attitude. (You young people and your rap music. Listen to more Led Zep and The Who.)

I notice that Allie and I very similar. It must be the cheese.

I thought Moxie Crimefighter and Zoltan were funny, but they're really not very good names for people. Now a good name, but only for a cat, is Chairman Meow. If I had a cat, he'd be named Chairman Meow.

Hey Doc, I don't doubt that you and I have a ton in common. I should create a test like that on my own blog! That will happen tomorrow when I'm less drunk-ish.

84% for me, and it would probably have been higher except for topics like public health which I assume you were against on libertarian grounds. As an anarchist, I'm against the government in all respects. But since we live in a world where I see a lot of injustice, where governments generally serve only elite interests, I'm happy to see when the government does something that benefits the average person, even if the action is something that wouldn't exist in the world of my political preference.

I got 72%... presumably the remaining 28% is about health care, gun rights, moral relativism, and education.

Wow...apparently nobody scored higher than 90, which is the top scoring category in the quiz. I knew my views were unique!

I'm a libertarian, but I support a healthy public education system.

I vote Democrat, but I'm pro-gun, anti-welfare and anti-public health spending.

I believe in global warming and generally support pro-environment positions, but I support arctic drilling.

And, of course, I strongly support Free Trade, and I strongly oppose international interventionism (including the War in Iraq).

From where I got this blend of views...I don't know.

Definitely. I agree with them 85-90 percent of the time. That's as much as I agree with anybody on the planet.

I would just rather Penn Gillette wouldn't name anymore of children. Between Moxie Crimefighter and Zoltan, I think there will be a race between the two of them to the name-changing office when they turn 18.

Those names are real head-scratchers. Why do celebrities have this obsession with giving their children weird names? They're going to stand out anyway; why exacerbate it?

Well, my given name is that of the first Christian martyr and my middle name is that of the Messiah's[sic] brother. How fucking weird is that?

60%, but what is interesting is that it 0% in similarity to apparently other people in their DB. Did anyone else look at the "similarity" note?

I think Francis is being contradictory, "And, of course, I strongly support Free Trade, and I strongly oppose international interventionism (including the War in Iraq)."

So-Called "free trade" is just another form of international interventionism. It is war by other means. It is particularly a war against the poor in the undeveloped world: Africa, but also Central and South America, large parts of Asia.

I scored “76 similarity.” I’m pro-gun (well, I like my guns, anyway) but pro-social-spending, too. That was fun, Frances. Thanks.

About time you got back.
I came up w/64%.
I do take some things w/o hard evidence.
Quantum physics, for example: never seen a molecule.
There needs to be a rational explanation, of course.
